A native of Greenville, Lt. Col. Tally Parham Casey was the first female fighter pilot in South Carolina. She has nearly 1500 hours in the F-16, more than 100 of which were in combat. Tally has also been an attorney for over 20 years, maintaining her full-time law practice throughout her years of military service. Casey is married to Lt. Col. Matthew N. Casey, together they have three children, Mia, Wyatt, and Jaxon.
Rosemounda “Peggy” Percell-Butler dedicates her life to public service through her role as a Community Activist. Peggy was the first African American elected to city council in the city of West Columbia, South Carolina in 1993, serving until 2005. She was also the first female Mayor Pro-Tem of the City of West Columbia, SC. Peggy joined the South Carolina Army National Guard as a Second Lieutenant, Peggy was assigned to the 251st Evacuation Hospital as an Army nurse. She graduated from Fort Sam Houston Army Officers Basic Class in San Antonio, Texas and was activated to the US Army. During Operation Desert Storm (aka Persian Gulf War), Peggy was stationed in Saudi Arabia.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Lisa Ellis has focused her professional impact on empowering students, teachers, and families. Through her career in education, she’s developed innovative ways to engage with and improve the public education experience for South Carolinians for over 20 years. She is also the Founder and a Board Member of SC for Ed, an organization of South Carolina teachers advocating on behalf of students and themselves to put the best teachers in every classroom in the state.
Matthews, 41, believes that young adults, minorities, women, and working families are the backbone of our state. She was inspired to run for office because she believes that people who look like her and come from backgrounds like hers are often affected the most and heard the least.
Evangeline Hundley was born and raised in Newberry, South Carolina. She attended Winthrop and has held several prominent positions in real estate as a realtor, builder, and a housing counselor with a program through HUD.
King attended Morehouse College in 1997. He then attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Services in 1998. He went on to receive his M.Ed. from Strayer University in 2006. King is a Funeral Director/Owner of Christopher King's Funeral Home. King has been serving in the SC House since 2008.
Carla is an attorney, a mother, a wife, and a proud resident of Fort Mill. Carla graduated from Virginia Tech University with a degree in Political Science, French, and Spanish, and can be found most Saturdays in the Fall cheering on her Hokies. Carla is a proud former civil servant and worked for seven years as a government attorney prosecuting criminal offenders and providing a voice to countless victims.
Michael William Fanning is an American politician. He is a member of the South Carolina Senate from the 17th District, serving since 2016.
